An extra special Chow Chow gift from son to Mum

Odie

Elliott contacted me to ask for an extra-special birthday gift for his Mum, based on her photo of a beloved pet who died just weeks before Elliott was born. He sent me a copy of the photo a few months ago and apologised for the quality as it was from the 1990's. But it was good enough for me to get an idea of how her precious dog looked

Attention to small details are so important for a successful piece of dog jewellery

Odie had a really distinctive outline and a beautiful plume of a tail and I knew I had to get these foundations right for the necklace to be a success.

I built up the necklace from layers of sterling silver, each one heavily engraved to match Odie's fabulous textured Chow Chow coat.

A thick layer of gold plating replicated the beautiful colours in his coat. I carefully parcelled him up, and waited to hear from Elliott...

Best Birthday Present Ever!

"Hello again! I just wanted to say that it was my mum's birthday yesterday and that she cried when she opened it! She immediately recognized who it was and said that it was the most gorgeous and thoughtful gift she has ever had. The amount of detail on it is really impressive and she really is over the moon with it, thank you so much for creating it! Thanks again, Elliott"
