I made this gold-plated silver Chow Chow necklace for Elliott's Mum's birthday, based on her photo of a beloved pet who died just weeks before Elliott was born.

He sent me a copy of the photo a few months ago and apologised for the quality as it was from the 1990's. But it was good enough for me to get an idea of how her precious dog looked and so I got to work and posted the necklace off.

I've been so busy recently, I'd forgotten to check in with Elliott and see what his Mum thought. So his email was a lovely surprise:

"Hello again!

I just wanted to say that it was my mum's birthday yesterday and that she cried when she opened it! She immediately recognized who it was and said that it was the most gorgeous and thoughtful gift she has ever had. The amount of detail on it is really impressive and she really is over the moon with it, thank you so much for creating it!
