So Much Love in Every Piece!

This morning I was making a few pieces of our silver jewellery with tiny 22ct gold plated hearts.  Normally I just choose a few little hearts from the stash of components our team of silversmiths have already cut out by hand.  Then, I will solder them to the animals before the polishing process begins.

 

But today, I decided to cut the little hearts I needed from a piece of silver.  I've been feeling a bit under the weather the past few weeks.  I had 2 wisdom teeth removed almost 3 weeks ago and one side of my mouth is still quite sore due to an ongoing complication.

 

But when you are concentrating so hard to a) ensure the shape of the tiny hearts is accurate, and b) make sure you don't slip and cut a finger with the ultra fine saw blades, there isn't much time to dwell on toothache!  It's the greatest painkiller ever!

 

I also love the fact that each of these little pops of gold is made by hand, just for that piece of jewellery.  There really is so much love in every piece!

 

Fingers crossed tomorrow is my last trip back to the oral surgeon.
