A Bitter Sweet Dog Memorial Brooch
As soon as Debra sent me this photo of her 4 dogs, I knew it would look amazing in silver.
The dogs were (L-R) in the photo, Lyra, Pantalaimon (known as Pan), Iorek and Seren. Only Seren and Iorek were still alive as sadly, Debra's other two dogs had passed away.
She asked me to make a brooch of the 4 of them together - a fitting tribute to happy times.
I recreated the Fabulous Four using layers of sterling silver shaped and engraved to look just like the little pack out on their adventure.
Debra emailed me soon after I posted her brooch with some heartbreaking news:
"Just to let you know, my brooch arrived today, and I absolutely love it. I ordered it exactly 4 weeks ago today, and sadly, exactly one week later, one of our dogs, Iorek, sadly passed away, so we just have one dog left now, Seren, (the dog on the right of the photo).
Thank you so much for immortalising our 4 lovely dogs in silver. I will treasure it always. Debra"
